Understanding Your Pet’s CPR Status Before Surgery
At Basin Run Animal Hospital, we understand that discussing CPR can feel overwhelming, especially when you are already preparing your pet for a procedure. Because your pet’s safety is our top priority, we want to help you feel informed and confident about the choices you make for their care.
Before every anesthetic procedure, we ask for your pet’s CPR status. This lets our team know how to respond in the rare event that your pet experiences cardiac arrest. Since emergencies require immediate action, it is important for us to know your wishes ahead of time, especially if we are unable to reach you by phone.
